VANUA Holding Limited (Ltd) has made a noteworthy contribution to the development of cricket in the Solomon Islands through a $2,000.00 cash donation aimed at supporting the ongoing growth of the sport.
The Managing Director of Vanua Holdings, Mohammed M Begg, presented the donation to Solomon Islands Cricket Federation (SICF) President Sajeewa Liyanage on Monday.
President Liyanage expressed gratitude for the support, emphasizing that the donation will contribute positively to the cricket programs currently underway in the country.
“We really appreciate the support, which will surely contribute to the ongoing cricket programs, aiming for positive growth in the country,” Liyanage said.
Mohammed Begg also shared his enthusiasm for backing the sport’s development, noting the increasing interest among athletes.
He highlighted that cricket is being promoted by passionate countrymen dedicated to reactivating the sport and unlocking its potential.
“This sport had great potential to grow in the country as a lot of athletes have started showing interest. Cricket is promoted by the countryman who had a heart to reactivate the sport to bring in the great potentials to light. So this sport is on the right track,” Begg said.
This support from Vanua Holding Limited marks a positive step forward in the resurgence and development of cricket in the Solomon Islands.
